Selfish rebels

We all come into this world without material wealth or knowledge, starting our lives from scratch. In the early stages of life, it’s natural to believe we are the center of the universe. However, as we mature, this perspective broadens. Some people, though, cling to that initial egocentric belief and develop a self-centered, immature mindset, ignoring the reality that we live in a complex civilization—not in isolation, as if in the wild. This society was built by countless individuals who are no longer with us, each contributing to a vision of balance, where everyone is treated equally and deserves respect.

Those who fail to grasp that civilization is something carefully constructed, not something that occurs naturally, often turn into selfish rebels, disregarding the very system that ensures order. Every generation has its phase of rebellion. While it’s essential to challenge genuine injustice, we must remember that we all start at zero. Our successes come through effort and determination, not entitlement. We didn’t inherit civilization—we were entrusted with it.

The people who came before us gave us the gift of society, with its rules, structures, and protections. The fundamental requirement for sustaining and advancing it is respect. Society thrives on solutions, not problems. Being a selfish rebel, ignoring the foundation built by others, is not contributing to progress; it’s a step backward.
